Integrated Community Agriculture and Nutrition Activity (ICAN) Midterm Evaluation

This evaluation assessed the impact of ICAN on food security, nutrition, and community resilience in Uganda. It aimed to support adaptive management by identifying implementation challenges and solutions, and to provide recommendations to inform the design of future resilience activities.

My Role & Contributions

  • Applied Participatory Adaptive Modelling with the Activity's team leaders to redesign a new Action oriented Theory of Change for the program.
  • Applied Bayesian Belief Networks to pinpoint critical pathways within the Theory of Change, which were further explored during fieldwork.
  • Conducted a stakeholder workshop and KIIs to collect data from project beneficiaries and Stakeholders.

Key Achievements

  • Provided recommendations for scaling up successful agricultural and nutrition interventions.
  • Strengthened evidence for adaptive programming in food security and nutrition.
